Dr. Shar has been practicing as a dentist for over 25 years since graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is the founder and owner of Heartland Dental Assisting, which she began in 2011 and had accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education in 2016. She started this program as a more, “affordable education opportunity” for those unable to afford the expensive cost of the standard 2-year programs. She hopes with this program she can help others find fulfillment in a job that they love and can continue to learn and grow into for many years to come. 

Shelby is the lead instructor for Heartland Dental Assisting. Shelby has over seven years of dental assisting experience. She has the knowledge needed to teach students all they will need to be successful when they graduate from the program. She loves her job as an instructor, because it gives her the ability to meet and help new people who are ready to start a new journey towards a career that they will love just as much as she does.

Jorden is the clinical assistant for Heartland Dental Assisting. With a passion for oral health and a lifelong dream to be part of the dental field, Jorden brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a genuine commitment to patient care. With a keen eye for detail and a nurturing approach, Jorden is committed to creating a comfortable and positive experience for every patient and student. Beyond the dental office, she enjoys spending her free time with her siblings and loving on her cat named Fez.
